A short note on what's in the bread —

Allergens & ingredients.

We bake at home, in a small kitchen. Below is what goes into each loaf, and what else shares the space. If you have a serious allergy, please read before you order — and message us first.

Across every loaf

All our sourdoughs and bakes use wheat flour — every loaf and tray contains gluten. We don't make gluten-free bread.

Per loaf

The Plain One
Contains: Wheat (gluten).
Strong wheat flour, water, our own sourdough starter, sea salt. Nothing else.
The Smoky One
Contains: Wheat (gluten), milk (mature cheddar).
Same base as the Plain One, plus mature cheddar and pickled jalapeño.
The Sweet Tooth
Contains: Wheat (gluten); see chocolate note below.
Same base as the Plain One, folded with chunks of 70% dark chocolate. Most dark chocolate brands include soy lecithin and are made on lines that also handle dairy and nuts — read the wrapper if you react to either.
The Brownie
Contains: Wheat (gluten), eggs, milk (butter); see chocolate note above.
Wheat flour, butter, eggs, sugar, dark chocolate, sourdough discard.
The Basque
Contains: Wheat (gluten), eggs, milk (cream cheese, cream).
Cream cheese, eggs, double cream, sugar, a touch of wheat flour.

The kitchen

We bake in a domestic kitchen, not a commercial one. The same surfaces and tools are sometimes used for food that contains nuts, sesame, and other allergens not listed above. We wash down before a bake, but we can't guarantee zero trace cross-contamination.

If a trace of an allergen would put you in hospital, please don't risk it — message us first and we'll be honest with you about whether we can keep the kitchen clear that week.

If you have an allergy

The safest thing is to reach out before ordering. WhatsApp us on +44 7356 096698 with the specifics — we'd rather you ask than guess.
